Watercolor 5″(L) x 4″(H)

This was one of my first explorations into abstract work using acrylic on paper — a pivotal moment in my creative journey.
Working on paper felt immediate and intimate. The paint moved quickly, responding to instinct rather than intention. Bold strokes evolved into unexpected forms, and vibrant colours began to converse across the surface.
This piece marked the moment I stopped trying to control the outcome and started trusting expression. It opened my eyes to the freedom of abstraction — painting guided by feeling, spontaneity, and pure creative impulse.

Prue Rossi

Some days I’m in the studio, layering color with intention.
Other days, I’m watching the world—quietly collecting ideas, textures, and moods.

Even when I’m not holding a brush, I’m making something.
Because creativity doesn’t clock in and out—it lingers, listens, and waits for the right moment to surface.

This is the work, too. The noticing. The in-between. The stillness before the storm of color.
